Very cold but the kids came
What a day we had! The activities went on as planned even though the temperature plummeted.
Families came out to enjoy hayrides, a wiener roast, street hockey, crafts, entertainment, cookie decorating and lots of treats. The fireworks were spectacular again this year. They ended another wonderful day.

The Chamber would like to thank everyone who came out to enjoy the pancake breakfast held as part of "Here Comes Santa Claus" downtown. The event was a huge success! Many thanks to the Streetscapes Co. Board for volunteering their cooking talents and to Praxair for the use of their helium tank.
The days schedule included the following:
- 9-11 am - FREE Pancake Breakfast at The Lloydminster Legion, sponsored by Sobey’s Ready to Serve, Lloydminster Chamber of Commerce, the Lloydminster Kinsmen Club and Streetscapes.
- 10 am - FREE hot chocolate, coffee and muffins while you browse at the 49th Avenue Farmers Market.
- 10 am - Lloydminster Library invites all kids to take part in a fun day of Christmas Crafts.
- 11 am - SANTA ARRIVES in his sleigh at the Atrium Centre with treats for all good little girls and boys, courtesy of Safeway.
- 11 am - 3 pm - FREE Weiner roast at Synergy Credit Union with Synergy Credit Union staff and the Lloydminster Fire Department.
- 11:30 am & 2:30 pm - FREE Matinees featuring “Polar Express” at May Cinema brought to you by Cliff Rose for Clothes.
- 12:30 pm - Registration begins for Bobcats Street Hockey Tournament with pre-registration recommended by calling the Bobcats office at 780-871-0900. Two age categories 5-8 and 9-12.
- 1 - 3 pm - Bobcats Street Hockey Tournament at Kindrachuck Dobson Law Office 5014-48th Street with FREE Hot chocolate and donuts supplied by the Co-op Marketplace.
- 1 - 3 pm - Hay Rides at Veracity Financial in Lloydminster. Across from Synergy Credit Union.
- 2 - 5 pm - Cookie decorating and FREE hot apple cider at Ernies Coffee House. Sponsored by Atco Electric and Ernies.
All day long you could have voted for your favorite decorated downtown business and possibly win
$200 in downtown gift cards from Streetscapes Co.
- 5 pm - Fireworks! Bigger and Better launched off of the Co-op parkade! Sponsored by Kudu Industries and Servus Credit Union.
- 7:30 pm - Lloydminster Bobcats vs Drayton Valley Thunder at the Civic Centre. Bring a toy for the Gift of Christmas for FREE admission!
