Lloydminster Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Lloydminster Rotary Club will be hosting a presentation by Husky Energy regarding the planned turn around activities that will be happening in the fall. The presentation will be at the regular Rotary meeting on Monday, July 26th beginning with lunch at 11:50 am.
If you would like to attend and are not a Rotary member, tickets can be purchased for $20.00 (plus gst) per person from the Chamber office by calling 780-875-9013. This informative presentation will prepare the business community for the increase in people, traffic and economic spin off.

Attention Chamber Members and Parade Fans! We are looking for some of our members to help us out with our parade entry once again this year. What we need are some individuals who would be willing to help carry our Right Here Right Now banner in the parade. The banner is 24 feet long and could be carried by up to six people. Volunteers would need to be at the Chamber office by 9:30am Wednesday, July 14th, until the parade wraps up (usually around 11:00am or so). This is your chance to get out of the office for a couple of hours! If you are interested, please contact the Chamber office by Friday July 2nd. All volunteers and their businesses will be acknowledged in our member newsletter. |

| CHAMBER POLICY RESOLUTIONS | |

Chamber Executive Director, Pat Tenney, presented two policy resolutions at the Alberta Chambers of Commerce AGM & Policy Session in Lethbridge in May. Resolutions on “Enhanced Domestic Markets for Agricultural Products” and “Membership in the Ports to Plains Alliance” were adopted by the delegates at the AGM and will now be taken forward to the Alberta Government. |
