Lloydminster Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Lloydminster Rotary Club will be hosting a presentation by Husky Energy regarding the planned turn around activities that will be happening in the fall. The presentation will be at the regular Rotary meeting on Monday, July 26th beginning with lunch at 11:50 am.
If you would like to attend and are not a Rotary member, tickets can be purchased for $20.00 (plus gst) per person from the Chamber office by calling 780-875-9013. This informative presentation will prepare the business community for the increase in people, traffic and economic spin off.

The Streetscapes Co. in conjunction with Arts Without Borders and the 49th Avenue Farmer's Market are pleased to present The First Annual Lloydminster Border City Summer Street Fest! Saturday June 12, 2010 Downtown Lloydminster. "A festival so big it takes two provinces to showcase!" The day kicks off with a FREE pancake breakfast hosted by Cafe Mocha and LloydFM The breakfast will be held at the Atrium Centre from 9:30am to 11:30am.

For those of you who are involved in community projects, Pepsi has a grant program that may be of interest to you. Below are some details and a link to the website. Note that there is a Canadian website and a US website…the link below is to the Canadian site. The Pepsi Refresh Project is an online grant program which makes available over a million dollars to be granted to projects which are intended to improve communities through an online, democratic voting process. The Grant Program consists of six categories: (1) HEALTH – fostering wellness The categories are simply for organizing the applications and have no bearing on which applications will be eligible to receive a grant.

For anyone wanting to promote their business at the Travel Alberta Visitor Centre this year, we still have some kiosk display space available for the summer. This space is available to rent on a weekly or monthly basis. Any business in the hotel and tourism/hospitality industries would qualify for these kiosks.
