Help Promote Lloydminster’s Economy by Promoting Your Business

The Lloydminster Economic Development Authority needs the assistance of the local business community to promote our local economic climate and attract skilled labour and investment.  LEDA plans to use this document as an informational and sales piece in its planned attendance at the September 30 National Job Fair in Toronto, where we hope to attract skilled workers to Lloydminster.  This is an opportunity for local businesses to help promote our city, build its economy, and as a side benefit, build a profile for their business.

LEDA is asking for some businesses to step forward and volunteer to be interviewed for the next edition of the Lloydminster Business Review, which is made to help highlight the employment and business environment in Lloydminster.  While this is not an advertisement editorial for any one business, it does offer the opportunity to showcase the success of your business while highlighting what is great about the business environment and opportunities in Lloydminster.

Respondents would be contacted for an interview by the publishing staff at Meridian Printing, who is writing and producing the document for LEDA.  The interview will not take long to complete and participants may be asked to pose for a picture and have their business location photographed for the publication.

Participation will be first come, first serve and the deadline to register for participation is Friday August 14, 2008.

10:00 - 12:00 Meeting Location - Corner of 50th Avenue & 50th Street

Join a walking tour of selected Visual Arts venues
guided by ‘in motion’ and MWCA artists.

QUICK DRAW - August 7th, 2008

8:00-10.00pm Barr Colony Heritage Cultural Centre

Local and regional artists have one hour to create a piece of art right before your eyes.  The art will then be auctioned off in a silent auction immediately following.

FESTIVAL AWARDS - August 7th, 2008

Honoring outstanding artists and patrons at a ceremony prior to the Quick Draw event.

LLOYDMINSTER READS - August 8th, 2008

Join Saskatoon's Lois Simmie to discuss her book What I'm Trying To Say Is Goodbye.  Come for an evening of literary discussion, fine food, and internationaldrink.
